I'm currently pursuing a doctoral degree in English from Old Dominion University. Previously I attended Texas State University - San Marcos for my masters degree in English, focusing on writing and rhetoric, and before that I went to Ohio State University for my bachelor's degree in English. My English tutoring experience includes working with high school and college students. I enjoy helping students become better writers and building their comfort level with writing academically. I like to tutor because I believe the ability to customize my teaching approach to match the learning style of my student is very powerful. I can tutor students in English literature and composition, essay writing and editing, persuasive writing, ESL, test preparation for reading, writing, and English sections of standardized exams, and more. When I have spare time, I like to read, play video games, and take walks with my dog.
