Old Dominion University - Current Undergrad, Physics

I'm studying for my bachelor's degree in Physics at Old Dominion University. I've mastered many STEM subjects and can tutor students in these. This includes a lot of math at different levels, from basic high school math through advanced calculus in college. I can also tutor students for some AP subjects like calculus and physics. When tutoring, I first learn about my student, and the specific combination of interests, strengths, and learning styles, and am able to develop lessons based on these. This helps me to create an interest in each student, as I know that engaging them in their own learning is the only real way they can learn properly. I find great satisfaction from playing a role in the growth students experience academically and more during our tutoring relationship. I have stayed in touch with a number of my students, cheering them on as they continue to experience success and achieve their goals. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy learning more about physics, playing chess, working puzzle cubes, writing, reading, and hiking.
