I am currently a 2nd grade teacher for Norfolk Public Schools. I worked for Chesapeake Public Schools as a reading and math remediation tutor for 1st and 2nd graders. I also, currently, work as a reading tutor part time at a local tutoring company. I really enjoy tutoring. I am currently a 2nd grade teacher and see, everyday, that many of my students need and crave the small group and one on one teaching time. It is a way for them to learn at their individual level, at their pace, and many times in a different way. One on one time really helps to boost their confidence level and gives them time to process what is being learned.

Hobbies
I love teaching and try to make it as fun, interesting, and relevant to my students as I can. We are always moving around and do many hands on activities to help them learn. I love to laugh and have fun with everything I do. When I am not in the classroom I can usually be found with a book in my hand. I have loved to read since I was very young. Once the book is put down, I love anything having to do with the outdoors. Whether it be camping, sports, hiking, the beach, etc. I try to spend as much time outside as I can.
