I received my certification to teach from Arizona. I attended Arizona State University, where I graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in Secondary Education English. I have taught in the classroom for grades 7-12. I am comfortable and confident in my ability to tutor English in any area of subject such as Reading, Writing, Essay Editing, Phonics, Literature, Grammar and Mechanics, Public Speaking, Poetry, and standardized test (specifically the ACT) preparation. It is my belief that anyone can conquer their learning goals if they are taught organization skills, and if they have the understanding that it might take a little bit of extra support for them to reach their true academic potential. I always take the appropriate amount of time to make sure I understand what my student's individual needs are so that I can help them find success inside of the classroom. In my free time, I like to be involved in the activities of my local community, writing, and spending time with my family.
