University of Washington - BA, Sociology , University of Washington School of Law - JD, Law
I attended the University of Washington, graduating magna cum laude and earning a bachelor's degree in sociology. I continued my education at the University of Washington School of Law with the goal of earning a law degree. While in law school, I interned at the Human Rights Law Network in New Delhi, which gave me the chance to witness issues of social justice in a different culture. I have authored several academic papers dealing with the subject of social justice. While at law school, I represented secondary school students who'd been expelled or suspended during their efforts to return to school. I have also taught workshops on legal rights to students in detention facilities and high schools. I am experienced in working with English Language Learners in community centers and in high schools. I have the experience to deal with diverse groups of people. The subjects I am available to tutor include reading and writing at all levels, as well as literature, psychology, social sciences, law, civil procedure, and evidence. I am also available to help students prepare for standardized tests such as the LSAT, and to help edit students' essays. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, research, watercolor painting, and traveling.
