I received my Masters of Arts in Teaching Elementary Education from Queens College. Previously, I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Providence College. I am also Wilson Reading System Certified and have extensive training in Wilson Fundations, and Leveled Literacy Intervention - both highly researched and effective reading interventions.

Experience

I am a reading specialist / elementary school teacher with a masters degree in elementary education. I have recently moved into the area, and am passionate about instilling a lifelong love of reading to my students! I am certified in Wilson Reading System, and trained in Wilson Fundations (a phonics program) and Leveled Literacy Intervention (a balanced literacy program). My expertise includes students with the following areas of need: - pre-reading (not yet reading at all) - dyslexia - visual memory delays - phonics - fluency - comprehension (including visual processing delays and auditory processing delays)
