I currently live in the Norfolk, VA, area, and I attend Liberty University seeking an EdS in Educational Leadership. I will then be seeking my EdD, also in Educational Leadership. I have been a science instructor for more than a decade, and I have taught in many diverse environments and to many educational levels. My teaching philosophy is based on helping the students see the material as a challenge to surpass. Education can be a ride that will transport a student into any world they wish, if only they have the willingness to get on the bus. Once a student feels compelled to overcome these challenges, success in education and life is inevitable. Each student has individual needs, and I have developed many key strategies that will assist the student in the learning process. I am able to tutor courses in biology, chemistry, earth sciences, life sciences, and assist with PSAT preparation in critical reading, mathematics, and writing skills. I have many interests in life and enjoy reading, dancing, working out, cooking, planning children's parties, and any activity that involves the beach or the water. I also have a strong interest in community service. I have also been involved in grant writing and projects that provide assistance to better the lives of low income families.
